Ken Procter SC was employed with the Crown Law Departments in the ACT and in Tasmania for approximately nine years. During this time he had extensive experience in criminal and civil trials and appeals and appearing as counsel in all Courts. In his twenty years at Murdoch Clarke he has had the conduct, as solicitor and counsel, of a wide variety of criminal, commercial and other civil litigation matters including personal injuries and common law generally. He is a highly knowledgeable, experienced and respected practitioner and is one of only a handful of practitioners in Tasmania appointed to act on instructions from the Insurers in Professional Indemnity Claims made against practitioners.

He is a member of the Tasmanian Bar Association and has been a member of the Supreme Court Rules Committee since 2001. Ken was a council member of the Council of the Law Society of Tasmania from 1983 to 1986, the Chairman of the Mental Health Tribunal from 1989-1999, and a member and later Chairman of the Disciplinary Tribunal established under the Legal Profession Act from 1999-2004.
